“Emergency Chocolate” - found this today at Sainsbury’s! Thought it was funny, though It’s only just milk chocolate inside, tastes the same as any other milk chocolate. So I guess packaging is quite important then! :P

Ten ideas to live by Alder Dog

Design idea belongs to Anthony Neil Dart.  His project is an example of excellent design, copy it was a good experience for me. In this project I tried to refine and improve the original idea using the same techniques.

Information Design - one day project to work in 3’s. We were given a set of information of:

- Biggest cities in the world

- Most spoken languages of the world

- Smallest countries of the world

With, we were asked to produce an outcome that illustrates these set of data and it being easy to read and understand. Me and my group managed to place the largest cities and the languages in our outcome in one diagram/illustration. Plotted each of the cities against the latitude axis we drew, indicating how far north or south each city is from the equator. The length of the lines drawn from the circle shows the population in cm. And the sectors in the pie chart represents how largely spoken the individual languages are within the world. I really enjoyed this exercise! Information design is a great way to represent raw data in a fun and graphical way.

One day workshop - Making 3D letter forms. Printed an outline of my initials on A3 paper and using as much available space there are on the space surrounding the letter, task was to make a net of the letter to create a 3D form from it. Thickness between 40mm-70mm, some people went off boundaries and took it to as thin as 5mm or as thick as 300mm. Was generally an engaging workshop though got quite repetitive through the whole day! -.-”
